Vanessa Montoro Layer Dress Variations

:) So this is it - my confession! It is the pink Vanessa Montoro strapless flouncy layered dress that pushed me down the slippery slope of this total crochet mania! :) All its variations are irresistibly awesome... Thanks for the inspiration Vanessa! :)

My Brazilian Ruffles Dress Update

Here is an update with where I am right now with my flouncy Brazilian dress. I am advancing slowly with my variety of ruffle layers and am quite happy and excited by how it is all coming out. In fact, I am really glad I decided to improvise and modify it as fancy strikes me as I go adding layer after layer... :)

Little White Slip Crochet Dress

A pretty summery slip style crochet dress in layers. It appears to be made in the same technique as the Brazilian dress - all ruffle layers get attached onto a net tapered shaped base including the one on the very top. Just about any cute small doily pattern should do with semi-circles for the flounces added to each layer.

Ruffle Dress Update

So here is where I've gotten thus far... I have decided to make the skirt part of the dress in a variety of ruffles, sort of like a flounces sampler and I am so exited to have adapted my first ruffle from a doily pattern (the 3rd one). Never knew crochet could be so much fun to improvise constantly as you go and feel so thrilled from the results! :)

Flouncy Brazilian Dress

Here is my latest crochet project that I had started, inspired by the amazing and awesome silk crochet designs of Brazilian designer Vanessa Montoro (http://www.vanessamontoro.com).

I loved in particular the layered ruffle dresses and wanted to make me one for quite a while now. Aren't they just gorgeous?????

So I have been itching for quite a while to make me a crochet dress with flounces something similar to her styles, but was having hard times figuring out the technique until I discovered this pretty dress from a Brazilian website - www.circulo.com.br/receitas/vestido-verde-agua-240.html with a pattern description and motifs there.

So here we go - I started mine...
