Easy Empire Waist Summer Dress
Here is an incredibly simple-to-make and cute empire-waist dress that looks great and can be made in many variations. I personally like best the strapless version below for both hot summer weather and time-it-takes to make considerations.

Quick Strapless Beach Dress Update
Here is some real quick update on the cute strapless beach dress that I started as well. Haven't worked much on it lately, neither on the flouncy Brazilian dress... but about to resume both as summer vacation time is approaching... fast! :)
This is how and what the stitch pattern of the top part will be. I am crocheting top-down, so after I reach right below my breast line to form an empire waist, I will continue in a different pattern and start tapering the dress shape by regular increases (just by using different hook sizes!) It will be tying at the back with a string as the original... just hope that the yarn that I have would be enough (300 gr), or I will have to start looking for the same or almost the same color cotton yarn.

Yummm... Yummyummmm...Yummmmm :)
It has been a while I haven't been around and had any time for crocheting (let alone blogging), but I thought I should share my excitement today with some culinary experiments (heheh...) of mine. Been so fascinated with Middle Eastern food lately and tried to make for a first time two recipes myself... the result is so yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmyyy!!!!! :) that I thought I should share something good with others. I am not sure even if I can spell or pronounce the dishes correctly... tabouleh salad (this one is pretty easy) and Mjaddara (however it is pronounced). Both are so healthy - I have never ever cooked before with bulgur and am so fascinated with my new discovery.
I looked up the recipes from the how-to-make videos of a charming, talanted and increasingly popular youtuber lady - Maha... I am posting the links below... so, now... next thing on my list is to try make my own home-made hummus and pita bread... yummmm yummm yummmm.... :)

My "Sassy" Poncho
I am posting here my poncho from Kim Hargreaves' spring-summer 2011 collection that I had just completed. It was a mega-quick and super-simple project... it took literally two days in my free time. It feels pretty rewarding to have something knit-up that fast, especially after prolonged times of tedious crocheting on my Brazilian Dress project that is slowly approaching the finishing line. I tried to put one fringe to check out how it would look like and thought of making the fringing much longer than the original, but I have changed my mind now and decided to leave it as it is - no fringes whatsoever. I still have to wash and block it. Anyways. Good stash-buster type of project for any yarns that you may have left over (took exactly one 50 gr skein).

The Golden Coins Crochet Dress
:) Alright, I am planning on making this cute "golden coins" dress pretty soon. My coin swatches made out of glittery gold lame yarn look pretty good and I think it will come out quite lovely laced with a golden satin lining that I recently been making.

Dropdead Gorgeous Drop Shoulders Crochet Dress
OK guys... here is a dropdead gorgeous dress that I have been losing sleep over in a very, very long time. This will be definitely one of my next projects to make for this summer. I have posted the pics of the technique of how to get the separate rounds of square motif stripes attached together and the principle of how to add the ruffles at the same time courtesy of a very kind lady - Oma, who was so sweet in making the tutorial and sharing it. Still haven't made up my mind entirely as to the color I would like to make it, but I guess just plain white would be still quite awesome (and of course use thicker yarn as is used in the original... I gather ca. 50 gr/120 meters would be the perfect metrage.)
