Little White Slip Crochet Dress

A pretty summery slip style crochet dress in layers. It appears to be made in the same technique as the Brazilian dress - all ruffle layers get attached onto a net tapered shaped base including the one on the very top. Just about any cute small doily pattern should do with semi-circles for the flounces added to each layer.

Vanessa Bruno Athé Crochet Dress Spring Summer 2011

A pretty mesh crochet dress from the Spring - Summer 2011 collection of the French designer Vanessa Bruno Athé. Looks fairly easy to make and good project for a crochet knitter novice.

Jennifer Aniston Marissa Crochet Dress

This is another pretty crochet dress from the terrific collections of designer Anna Kosturova that I am lining up on my wishlist (it appears to be quite easy to make)... sigh, I wish I had at least some 5-6 pairs of hands as an Indian deity so maybe I can catch up with making all the things that I want to make.

You could get the original here.

Kate Moss Crochet Dress

Here is another mind-blowing crochet dress that got me totally delirious! I have added some pictures and crochet motif diagrams courtesy of an incredibly talented and nice young lady - Elena! Her interpretation is a real work-of-art and even better than the original! Truly brilliant! Thank you Elena for letting me share your inspiring pictures!

You can find more of Elena's beautiful art works and designs on her blog here.

Emilio Pucci Spring Summer 11

... well, here is a little digression from my crochet-mania... isn't that a stunner?! I think I would love to make one, but tweak it again lengthwise... and in black it would be beautiful!

One could buy the original here.

Terrific Crochet Tunic/Dress

What a lovely tunic!!! Would love to make one, but will definitely turn it into a dress (my favorite piece of clothing) by adding a bit more to the length. How terrific! :)

Eva Longoria's Crochet Dress

Another pretty "classic" feminine dress that nobody should pass up... I think even beginners like me can handle it... I find myself falling deeper and deeper in love with the art and craft of crocheting... :)

Kate Hudson's Sexy Beach Crochet Hotpants

Yeayyyyyyyy!!!!! Aren't these hotpants gorgeous?!! I am frantically digging through all my crochet mags and stashed stitch patterns for something similar that I can put together and improvise in making my own skirty beach hotpants... hm... granma's pineapple tablecloth watch out...

... alright, here I found a good close-up of the hotpants and a crochet scheme of the pineapple motif that comes very close and could be used and/or readapted.

... ok, maybe this scheme could be adjusted and used as a basic pattern for the left and right pant legs so then we would have a center seam in the front and back... with some swatching, adjusting and sizing anyone could make their perfect fit crochet beach hotpants... good luck and enjoy! :)

Photobucket

WOW!!!! Here is what I found!!!! You can get Kate's crochet pants on eBay!!!! Just type "crochet shorts" as a search term and you will come right across it!!!! :)

My No.1 Vanessa Montoro Dress

This is my most favorite of all Vanessa Montoro designs. I will definitely give it a try! I guess it would be very pretty if made in silk as I believe the original is made of it as well. Maybe with some more tweaking I can get as close to the original pattern as possible...

... to be continued

Ruffle Dress Update

So here is where I've gotten thus far... I have decided to make the skirt part of the dress in a variety of ruffles, sort of like a flounces sampler and I am so exited to have adapted my first ruffle from a doily pattern (the 3rd one). Never knew crochet could be so much fun to improvise constantly as you go and feel so thrilled from the results! :)

Sexy Crochet Dress

Here is another one I have been drooling over since last summer. Doesn't it look awesome on Kate Bosworth?!! :) I got so badly bitten by that crochet bug, that  almost all I can think of is crochet dresses design and techniques... (meaning I let go of all my other craft hobbies). It is gonna be a very, very busy time crocheting all the things I got on my mental wishlist... so much more is to follow.

You can get the original here.

:) This is another one that is queued up on my wishlist. I am trying to prepare a drawing of the crochet motif... wonder if anyone knows anything about some crochet charting software that I could use?!

Flouncy Brazilian Dress

Here is my latest crochet project that I had started, inspired by the amazing and awesome silk crochet designs of Brazilian designer Vanessa Montoro (http://www.vanessamontoro.com).

I loved in particular the layered ruffle dresses and wanted to make me one for quite a while now. Aren't they just gorgeous?????

So I have been itching for quite a while to make me a crochet dress with flounces something similar to her styles, but was having hard times figuring out the technique until I discovered this pretty dress from a Brazilian website - www.circulo.com.br/receitas/vestido-verde-agua-240.html with a pattern description and motifs there.

So here we go - I started mine...

Little Black Drops Dress

It has been quite a while I haven't posted much of anything... :) but I kept myself busy with some knitting. I am finally done with my Little Black Drops dress (made it in black). It turned out truly so, so pretty... only the wrong size!!!! Ever had that same experience??? The gauge was right, following the pattern description exactly and there it was... way too large and huge for me. Hmm, kindda makes you scary to try again another knit dress :) Anyway, it is still quite pretty and I have decided to do some serging on the sides that will bring it closer to my curves. Will post some pics of it later, as it is still air drying flat. To be continued....
